Your supply chain is of the utmost importance to us. In light of the ongoing situation in Haiti related to civil unrest, we would like to offer the following relief packages:
- Stop of the combined Detention and Demurrage clock for the period September 1st until November 18th, applicable for location Port-au-Prince, Haiti. Any charges incurred prior to September 1st will not be part of the relief option and will be invoiced accordingly.
- For containers discharged full and currently sitting inside terminal, above condition applies, demurrage to restart as of Nov. 19th. Should full containers be picked up before this date, we will grant grace period until Nov. 18th (inclusive) after which demurrage calculation to restart from Nov. 19th onwards.
- For containers already dispatched before terminal closure and awaiting return to terminal, we are granting grace period until November 18th free of demurrage, calculation of demurrage to resume as of November 19th.
The above measures are taking into consideration the latest update from the terminal, which has slowly restarted gate movements as of Nov. 9th. We continue monitoring the situation closely and will inform you of any changes and/or further updates.
- For cargo currently sitting in transshipment ports, we can offer full pickup or Free COD (waiver of USD 300 admin. fee), any difference in freight due to the new destination and operational costs (restows, electricity and storage) will be invoiced to customer.
