Genset Charge - U.S. Import Refrigerated Cargo - CY Deliveries - Price Increase
Effective March 15, 2023, Maersk will increase the Genset Charge from USD300 to USD400 per container on all import operating refrigerated containers for CY delivery (except cold treatment cargo and cargo discharging in Philadelphia, PA), that utilizes a Maersk provided genset.
Customers that elect not to use a genset, provide their own genset, or move with Maersk on a store door delivery basis, will not be subject to the charge. A Letter of Indemnity is not needed if you wish to have your refrigerated cargo delivered without a genset.
Those not using a genset will particularly benefit through faster terminal turntimes and reduce any delays due to genset supply constraints.
