March 23rd, 2023 - Update 03

Maersk would like to bring you an update on the TA3 823 service vessel MSC Lausanne, and the repairs on the vessel’s radar that caused the vessel to be delayed on its voyage from Newark, USA, to Bremerhaven, Germany.

After initial repairs, the vessel continued the voyage to Antwerp, where it started discharge operations and further repairs on 21 March. The radar repairs have now concluded, and the vessel is ready to finish its eastbound voyage and discharge with the following schedule:

  • Rotterdam ETA: 23 March
  • Bremerhaven ETA: 24 March

As confirmed in the previous update, the following TA3 voyages will be cancelled: 311W, 314E. If you had export cargo planned for these dates, you can expect it to be loaded on the next available vessel on the service – MSC Catherine 312W / 315E. We will confirm exact loading details with our customers as soon as possible.

Maersk teams would like to thank you for your patience and cooperation during this time. Should you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to reach out to your local Customer Experience representative. Our teams remain at your disposal and look forward to serving your logistics needs in the future.

March 20th, 2023 - Update 02

The TA3 823 service vessel MSC Lausanne is currently delayed on its voyage from North America to Europe due to a radar deficiency issue that saw it divert for repair in Vigo, Spain.

A.P. Moller – Maersk would like to inform you that the repair work has been partially completed and MSC Lausanne has now continued its voyage towards the Port of Antwerp, where discharge operations will start tomorrow (21st March, 06:00am).

The onward schedule to Rotterdam and Bremerhaven is still being worked out and subject to further repair plans. Our teams remain in close contact with MSC and will communicate any new information and schedules as soon as they become available.

Last week, it was agreed that due to repair work the following TA3 voyages have been cancelled: 311W, 314E. If you had export cargo planned for these dates, you can expect it to be loaded on the next available vessel on the service – MSC Catherine 312W / 315E. We will confirm exact loading details with our customers as soon as possible.

Thank you for your patience and understanding while we work with MSC to minimise further delays and keep your supply chain moving. Should you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to reach out to your local Customer Experience representative.

March 17th, 2023 - Update 01

A.P. Moller – Maersk would like to bring you an update on the TA3 823 service vessel MSC Lausanne, which is currently delayed on its voyage from Newark, USA, to Bremerhaven, Germany.

En route across the Atlantic Ocean from North Charleston Terminal to the Port of Antwerp, a radar deficiency issue in need of repair was identified and vessel was diverted to Vigo, Spain, to perform the work.

Repairs are now being carried out on MSC Lausanne at Vigo before it continues on its journey through European ports (Antwerp, Rotterdam, Bremerhaven), but at this time it is not known how long the process will take.

If you have cargo on the vessel bound for Europe, we regret any inconvenience this may cause you and your supply chain, but rest assured our teams are in frequent contact with MSC throughout every day to understand concrete timelines and further information. We will, of course, communicate these with you as soon as we find out more.

Although we cannot say exactly when MSC Lausanne can continue its journey, MSC have confirmed that repair work will take longer than expected and decided to cancel the following TA3 voyages: 311W, 314E.

If you had export cargo planned for these dates, you can expect it to be loaded on the next available vessel on the service – MSC Catherine 312W / 315E. We will confirm exact loading details with our customers as soon as possible.

Thank you for your patience and understanding while we work with MSC to find a swift resolution and keep your supply chain moving. Should you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to reach out to your local Customer Experience representative.
