Eletrolar Show is one of Brazil's most prestigious trade events. This year's edition, held in Sao Paulo, was a huge success, with a number of attendees visiting the ArenaComex, Maersk's knowledge-sharing zone.

There was keen interest in our integrated approach to logistics: connecting the physical and digital, and linking assets across land, air and ocean.

At the event, we interacted with our customers to understand the logistical issues businesses in the consumer electronics space are facing. There was a particular focus on the impact of post-pandemic bottlenecks and multiple logistics partners and how they slow down consumer electronics supply chains. Add to this the slump in demand on the back of spikes during the pandemic, which has led to large inventories and holding costs.

How can these challenges be addressed?

With data-backed presentations, our experts pointed out that integrating supply chains from end to end could resolve the demand-supply mismatch. Lead logistics solutions could back businesses with tailor-made solutions.

The path to decarbonisation

Across the world, there is rising consumer demand to address climate change. Consumer electronics companies are, therefore, actively seeking logistics partners who can support efforts to reduce greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions. Maersk is committed to contributing to decarbonising logistics and has been working to reach its goal of reaching net zero GHG emissions by 2040.
