A.P. Moller – Maersk would like to inform you that the Port of Hamburg rail terminal is expected to close between 4th July and 8th July 2025, while major construction work takes place on a nearby motorway. During this period, no rail transport to or from the Port of Hamburg will be operationally feasible.
At this time, we do not have absolute confirmation on the exact days of closure, but we are working closely with the port to understand timelines and will communicate them with you as soon as we have more information.
Our teams are continuing to explore options for Hamburg rail cargo and how best to mitigate disruptions. We will work with our customers to draw up contingencies, including the re-routing of cargo, to ensure the minimal possible disruption to supply chains.
We will reach out to customers with further details as soon as possible, so you have adequate time to prepare.
Our teams are here to serve you, so please don’t hesitate to contact to your local Maersk representative should you have any questions.
