As part of A.P. Moller – Maersk’s goal to ensure the efficiency of your supply chain, we are continually keeping an eye on developing situations.
Due to the difficulties with accessing the Port of Leghorn a, trucking companies are implementing a Port Fee Surcharge that will be applied to any truck moves in and out of the Leghorn Port in order to guarantee the economic sustainability of transport and therefore the road safety of drivers and vehicles.
To maintain our high standard, secure capacity in the market, and ultimately ensure a continued and reliable inland transportation service for our customers, A.P. Moller – Maersk and, therefore, all its subsidiaries and controlled companies, will be introducing an Inland Peak Season Surcharge for all export and import truck moves to and from the Port of Leghorn.
