*PCD = Price Calculation Date.
*For non-FMC, PCD refers to the scheduled departure date (ETD) of the first water leg.
*For FMC, PCD is last container gate-in date for non-spot bookings.
*For Spot bookings, is the Booking Confirmation date.

It is worth emphasizing that the surcharge is applied based on the PCD, not the actual arrival date, which means:

  • Imports arriving during the drought period may not be subject to LWC if it was not effective at PCD.
  • Imports arriving after the drought period may still be subject to LWC if it was effective at PCD.

The LWC is an emergency and temporary charge, applicable due to the extraordinary conditions of navigation. It may be reviewed and adjusted, by virtue of situation.
It will cease when the sailing conditions return to normal by the time of the price calculation date.

Our teams are available to support your planning and assist with any questions you may have.
