Maersk is revising the Peak Season Surcharge (PSS) for the scope of Far East Asia to Mexico, West Coast South America and Central America and Caribbean (C1E) with effective from 20th March 2026.

The revised tariff amount is detailed as follows:

  • Origin refers to countries of country name Brunei, China, Hong Kong, China, Indonesia, Japan, Cambodia, Mongolia, South Korea, Laos, Myanmar, Malaysia, Philippines, Singapore, Taiwan China, Thailand, and Vietnam.
  • Destination refers to countries of country name Antigua and Barbuda, Anguilla, Netherlands Antilles Aruba, Barbados, Bermuda Island, Bolivia, Bonaire Sint Eustatius and Saba, Bahamas, Belize, Chile, Colombia, Costa Rica, Cuba, Curacao, Dominica, Dominican Republic, Ecuador, Grenada, Guatemala Guyana, Honduras, Haiti, Jamaica, St Kitts-Nevis, Cayman Islands, St Lucia, Saint Martin (French Part) Montserrat, México, Nicaragua, Panama, Perú, Suriname, El Salvador, Sint Maarten, Turks and Caicos, Trinidad and Tobago, Saint Vincent and the Grenadines, Venezuela, Virgin Islands (Br.)
  • Applicable equipment types include dry, high dry, reefer, high cube reefer, bulk, collapsible flat rack, flat rack, hive, pallet wide, open top, tank, and twin deck.

Non-SPOT booking – The above rate is retrieved based on Price Calculation Date (PCD).
For non-FMC, PCD refers to the scheduled departure date of the first water leg at the time of booking confirmation for non-spot bookings.
For FMC, PCD is last container gate-in date for non-spot bookings.
PSS is not applicable on SPOT booking.

Pay term – The above charge is collected follow freight paid.

For trades subject to the US Shipping Act or the China Maritime Regulations, quotations or surcharges that vary from the Maersk tariff shall not be binding on Maersk unless included in a service contract or service contract amendment that has been filed with the Federal Maritime Commission (FMC) or the Shanghai Shipping Exchange, as applicable.
