We would like to inform you of an important update regarding fuel surcharges applicable to shipments involving Korea.
Due to the recent escalation of the conflict between Iran and the United States, global oil prices have risen significantly in a very short period of time.
This sharp increase in fuel costs has had an immediate and substantial impact on inland transportation costs in Korea, creating an urgent and unavoidable cost pressure on ongoing operations.
Given the current situation and after careful internal review, we must regretfully advise that we have no alternative but to implement an emergency fuel surcharge in order to sustain service continuity and operational stability in Korea.
Accordingly, a 35% Import Fuel Surcharge (IFS) and Export Fuel Surcharge (EFS) will be applied to applicable inland transportation charges. This measure is necessary to partially offset the extraordinary increase in fuel-related costs and to ensure that we can continue to provide reliable service under the current market conditions. Please note that this surcharge has been introduced as a result of exceptional circumstances and reflects the critical situation faced by the Korean market. We sincerely appreciate your understanding and cooperation during this challenging period.
Should you require any further clarification or have specific questions regarding the applicability of this surcharge, please do not hesitate to contact us.
