Our calculation methodology is based on the Global Logistics Emissions Council (GLEC) standards, which is the leading global standard for estimating transport emissions. At a high level, calculations consider distance, freight weight, mode of transport and emission factor for each carrier involved. We also consider additional factors like road grade, local terrain, etc. to estimate emissions for inland road, to provide a rigorous set of emissions data.
