- Non-operating reefer (NOR) is considered as Dry Container.
- Shipper's own containers (SOC) are not subject to Combined D&D. and are subject to Terminal Storage.
- Shipper’s Own Container is considered as equivalent to corresponding container type and cargo type. Examples: A Tank with Dry cargo follows terms of Dry equipment, while a Tank with IMO cargo follows terms of IMO.

Import custom clearance – have to be performed by consignee or forwarder appointed from consignee.
Amendments are allowed 48 hours prior to vessel arrival.
Transit cargo must be declared 24 hours prior to vessel arrival.
Hazardous information (UN number, Class) must be stated on the BL.
Possible fines applied from Custom Authorities:
- Amendments made to the Bill of Lading after the allowed deadline of 48 hours prior to the vessel calling at the port of destination. The penalty applicable in this case Please check with local office.
- Inaccurate declarations in the Customs Information System; (for instance, inaccurate cargo weight, number of boxes/ crates, cargo description, WRONG SEAL NO., etc). The penalty applicable in this case Please check with local office.
- Cargo declaration to the Albanian Custom Authorities is not performed within the allowed period (10 days from vessel’s arrival date at Durres Port / Albania). The penalty applicable in this case is 150 EUR/day/Container.
Fiscal labels compulsory from point of origin on all excise goods imported into Albania.
Excise goods entering Albanian border have to have Fiscal labels attached on each unit (be it bottle in the case of Alcohol Imports, or cigarette packs in the case of Cigarette Imports) from the point of Origin.
- FOB imports to Albania we do not accept freighted B/L.
- Shipment related to multiple TP docs of different consignee names or with consignee “to order” covering only one container or more are NOT ACCEPTED. Hence, multiple TPdocs accepted only if consignee on each TPdoc is the same.
- Original Veterinary certificate needs to be presented to Veterinary authorities when Veterinary inspection takes place.
- There are no restrictions on cargo weight for Albanian destinations in inland transport.
- For Kosovo & Macedonia weight limit is 40 MT (Cargo + Truck + Tara). Total weight above 40MT is subject to overweight surcharge.
- For 45'dry Container Yard acceptance only.
- Less Container Load : No acceptance
