Booking online with Maersk Spot is easy and can be done anytime and from anywhere. The entire breadth of features is available on Maersk.com and the Maersk App.

Note: If you are already registered online with a Maersk brand (Maersk, Safmarine, MCC, Seago Line or Sealand) then you can login into any of our portals with your existing username and password. Alternatively, here is how you can register online.

On your PC

Log in to Maersk.com and go to Maersk Spot booking.
Type in your booking information, including the route details, commodity, container type size and expected departure date.
Consider if you need port-to-port transportation (CY) or if you also need door-to-door (SD) transport of your cargo.
Then click on Search. You will see a summary of your request with a choice of departure dates with their corresponding rates.
Choose your preferred departure date. You can see if Rollable is available and you can see all the booking details by clicking on View Price and Schedule Breakdown. You can also get relevant D&D and related fees before clicking on Book to continue.
You will now be redirected to the booking page, where you will see all your information prepopulated. Just click Continue.
You will see different sailing options available. Select a sailing and Rollable if relevant and then BOOK to proceed. Select your pick-up depot, pick-up date, relevant haulage reference or shipment party data. Scroll down to add more freetime or any other additional service that you may require and click on Review booking.
You will now see a summary of your request, schedule, and details. If everything is as you want it to be, please accept the terms and conditions and submit your booking!

Maersk Spot US Trades is regulated by the FMC (Federal Maritime Confederation) and comes with slight differences compared to how you know Maersk Spot from other trades.

Log in to Maersk.com and go to Maersk Spot booking.
Type in your booking information, including the route details, commodity, container type size and expected departure date. Consider if you need port-to-port transportation (CY) only, or if you also need door to door (SD) transport of your cargo. Then click on Search. You will see a summary of your request with a choice of departure dates with their corresponding rates.
Choose your preferred departure date. You can see if Rollable is available and you can see all the booking details by clicking on View Price and Schedule Breakdown. You can also get relevant D&D and related fees before clicking on Book to continue.
You will now be redirected to the booking page, where you will see all your information prepopulated. Select Price owner and Continue.
You will see different sailing options available. Select sailing and Rollable if relevant and BOOK to proceed. Select your pick-up depot, pick-up date and haulage reference if relevant.
Declare whether you are the ‘Price owner’ or ‘Agent’ and if you are the ‘Cargo Owner’ or ‘NVOCC.’ (Non-Vessel Operating Common Carrier). If you are an Agent and this is your first shipment on behalf of the Price owner, please note that a Letter of Authority is required.
Add shipment party data and scroll down to add more freetime or any other additional service that you may require and click on Review booking.
You will see a summary of your request, schedule, and details. If everything is as you want it to be, please accept the terms and conditions and submit your booking.

Select the booking
Log in to Maersk Logistics Hub and go to ‘Export overview’. In the search bar on top right, enter your B/L number and click on ‘View details’. You will reach the ‘Shipment binder’ page. Select ‘Amend’ under the ‘Booking actions’ section.
Amend the booking
You will reach a page with the details of your booking. Make the required changes and click on ‘Continue’.
Note: You can amend the following information: Departure, pick-up depot, pick-up date, load address, numbers of containers, inland and store-door attachment or removal, shipment parties, weight and commodity.
Compare and confirm the booking
You will reach the ‘Select sailing’ page with original and new sailings. To retain the original sailing, click on ‘Continue’. To select a new sailing, click on ‘Book’.
Edit additional details
Once a sailing is chosen, you will reach the ‘Additional details’ section where you can make modifications to additional fields. Click on ‘Review booking’.
For US corridor bookings, you will be able to edit the parties in the ‘Additional details’ section.
Review your amended booking
Once you’re sure of the changes, accept the terms and conditions and click on ‘Submit booking’. Your amendment request will be confirmed instantly.

Select the booking
Log in to Maersk Logistics Hub and go to ‘Export overview’. In the search bar on top right, enter your B/L number and click on ‘Track’. You will reach the ‘Shipment binder’ page. Select ‘Amend booking’ under the ‘Booking actions’ section.
Amend the booking
For FMC routes, you will reach the page with the details of your booking. Make the required changes and click on ‘Continue’.
For non-FMC routes, you will reach the page with the details of your booking. Change the destination to a location in the US. Make other required changes and click on ‘Continue’.
Note: You can amend the following information: Departure, pick-up depot, pick-up date, load address, numbers of containers, inland and store-door attachment or removal, shipment parties, weight and commodity.
Compare and confirm the booking
You will reach the ‘Select sailing’ page with original and new sailings. To retain the original sailing click on ‘Continue’. To select a new sailing, click on ‘Book’.
Edit additional details
Once a sailing is chosen, you will reach the ‘Additional details’ section where you will edit the parties’ details. Click on ‘Review booking’.
Review your amended booking
Once you’re sure of the changes, accept the terms and conditions and click on ‘Submit booking’. Your amendment request will be confirmed instantly.

We find Maersk Spot very innovative and easy to use. Now we don't have to wait for rates, since with Maersk Spot we immediately see the available rates and departures. But really what I like the most is that there is a price difference between departure dates. This means that if you plan your business well you can generate savings, since almost always the further out you book the cheaper the price.

The loading guarantee is an space guarantee on the booked vessel, or in the event the carrier loads onto an alternative vessel, the loading guarantee is that it will be loaded on the alternative vessel no more than three (3) days before or no more than three (3) days after the scheduled ETD as confirmed in the Booking. For bookings with inland, the promise remains on timely loading in the first ocean port. The guarantee covers that the inland delivery will be made in time to catch the first vessel.

Dry-cargo for 20’GP, 40’GP, 40’ HDRY and 45’HDRY containers are supported by Maersk Spot.

Maersk Spot is available globally. All available origin destination offers can be found at the booking page.

Go to Instant Price, insert your origin and destination as well as commodity, container type, and preferred date. When you select a date and a rate, you will see a Rate ID just below the rate. Copy this rate ID into your preferred booking system, and now you can book Maersk Spot. Please note that Maersk Spot uses dynamic pricing and rates are subject to change.
