What do I do when I discover a loss or damage to a shipment?
Follow the instructions on your Certificate of Insurance.
Notify the carrier in writing that you intend to file a claim.
Contact the surveyor listed on the certificate to assess the damage.
Inform your broker, who will guide you through the claims process.
